Gabbeh rug with high pile height and very simple designs with rectangular shape.

Qashqai tribe people are famous in Gabbeh weaving. They use natural material like lamb wool and herbal colors and dyes. Usually they are weaved by women in the tribe. A well-made gabbeh has a very course knots and high pile length.

Gabbeh weavers imagine their designs in their mind and start to weave it and create the patterns first in their dreams. So their shapes are naive. Their design originates from nature and place around nomads. These patterns tell about every day life of people in Zagros mountain.
